If you missed the presentation by Joseph Mikael (EDF) at the first online thematic morning session organised by Forum Teratec on 20 April, the replay is now available (in French). He presented NEASQC and the use case Hard optimisation problems for smart-charging of electric vehicles. He explained the issues for EDF concerning smart charging: how to dispatch electric vehicles to the least busy terminals, how to optimise a large number of electric vehicle charges/discharges to contribute to the stability of the network. He then went on to show how first-generation quantum computing could help overcome current limitations and help address those issues on a large scale.
